Nick's Birthday

HAPPY 29th BIRTHDAY NICHOLAS! Although it was yesterday, the 22nd, I'm still going to post it! He went golfing all day with boys and I was lucky enough to get to go to work.  Fortunately we were able to spend the morning together and he opened his presents. Below are just a few random pictures from the past year!  I can't believe how old we are getting. It feels like just yesterday we were graduating from high school and here we are 10 years later, married with a house and 2 dogs! It's just crazy!

Anniversary 2008

I have such a sweet husband! Yesterday was our 7 year anniversary and besides getting Zeus when I woke up from my nap these roses were in a vase on the kitchen table. I had walked into our living room and didn't see them at first and was just chatting with Nick. I turned to go into the kitchen and I was like "Oh My Gosh Honey!" I was so surprised and shocked at how many there were. He said there is " 7 dozen for 7 years" WHAT? Really ?

Thank You so much Honey I love you and am so lucky to have you in my life. You out did yourself!
Here is Z after a long day of playing and running around. He's already found the lazy boy!
Zeuz loves to pester Leyla he tries to nibble her ears, ankles .... She is such a great sport and puts up with a lot. When she finally has enough she pin's him down so he can't move.
WOW! They can sure make their beds dirty fast! Gross! It might be time for a new one!

ZEUS or " Z " for short!

Isn't he just soooo adorable!!!  I think we decided on Zeus for his name but I've started calling him "Z" for short!
Get the Kitty! Get the Kitty!
"Z" passed out on Nick's chest.  Check out Nick's clean shaven face! I can't remember the last time he didn't have any facial hair. Look how young he looks!!!

What ? Are you kidding me ?

Look what Nick brought home last night!  He is my my anniversary present!!!  Like I posted before we have been thinking of getting another dog. Well, Thursday night at work I once again was surfing the classified ads just seeing what puppies were for sale. I came across a couple ads and e-mailed them to nick. This little guy was for a great price and awesome markings. I had Nick call the owners just to see what his deal was.  I had worked all night so I went to bed and Nick began his day.
Nick went golfing and after I awoke I just lounged around the house.  Around dinner time Nick called to say he was on his way home from golf , He was really picking up this little guy to bring him to me.
Leyla was sitting on her bed looking out the front window and I was on the couch. I totally lost it when I saw Nick start to walk up the drive way with a boxer puppy. Lelya and I were out the front door in seconds.
Although our Anniversary isn't until the 18th Nick said he couldn't wait to give me my present, ZEUS!
Nick thinks we should call him Zeus but I'm still a little unsure. I'm open to suggestions ! Anyway thanks Honey I love Him! He was the best present ever! Good Job! I love you!

I Caught A Fish THIS BIG!!!!

Happy Belated Fourth of July!!! I know it's a little late but we have been having way too much fun! This year we ventured to good Ol' Flaming Gorge for some camping and boating fun. Our friends Stacie and John own and run a marina on the gorge. Last year was our first year up there and we loved it so much we came back again this year. Last year our friend Phil taught me to catch fish, Bass, so this year I bought my own rod and tackle. Although the bass we catch are too small to eat it is still fun to catch and release. This year though we caught a few rainbow trout that were oh so yummy!!! I've totally turned into a fisher woman. Nick kept laughing at me because all I wanted to do was relax and fish.  One evening we got our friend John to take out on his fishing boat, he had down riggers and poles galore. Anyway below our a few pic's of the fruits of his and our labors!!

This is me reeling a big one just look at the bend in the pole. My forearm muscles were burning sooo bad. He was strong and we all thought for sure he was at least 5-10lbs.  We were all screaming and cheering I just kept reeling and reeling it took what felt like FOREVER!!!
I've almost got him, keep reeling, keep reeling!!!!
WHOA! THAT'S NO TEN POUND FISH!!!!! HE'S MORE LIKE.....
TWENTY FIVE POUNDS!!!!!!
Thanks to John and all those on the boat cheering and screaming this moment was made possible. I have never in my life caught a fish this big!!! What a beautiful trout!!! We were nice and set him free! He had survived this long we just couldn't eat or mount him.
