Dog Rumors

So lets set the record straight. We have not added a new dog to our family but we are thinking about it. Nick and I have jokingly talked about getting another dog so Leyla has a friend when we are not around. I get into phases where I start looking at adds in the newspapers or internet for Boxers for sale. Of course boxers are show dogs and can get pretty expensive so I've just been looking. The more I've seen and read I noticed typically every litter can produce a white boxer which a lot consider unacceptable because they can't show them. Instantly that tugged at my heart how could you not love this little animal because he doesn't have the right coloring. So now I've been talking about getting a cute little white boxer because everyone else gives them up and I would love him/her to bits! Well this has been going on for awhile and well the other day I get a text message from Mike O saying he has found me a white baby boxer that I can have for free!!! Great! Now what am I supposed to do! Ha! Well currently the boxers are just a little over a week old so I don't have him/her yet but maybe I 'll go meet them and if it works out we may have a new addition. Once again I've written a long blog about my dog. Well just look at the pictures they are soooooo cute!!!! I can't resist their faces and fun personalities.

Thanks Ashlee!

So I FINALLY got this cute picture of Ash to post! I know its a little late but I tried one last time and it worked. Love you Girl!!

My cute, creative and awesome sister in-law Ashlee Phelps always hooks me up with the cutest back grounds for my blog. Last night she sent me a text saying she had made a new Fourth of July background for me. The minute I got It I tried to get online and our internet wouldn't work! AHHH! I was sooo mad! So here I am at 500 in the AM reseting our internet so I could see her handy work. I LOVE IT ASH !!! How did you get our cute golf picture like that! You are amazing! Nick says he was able to get a cabin in Bear Lake for July so we will get to see you soon! I can't wait! Love you!!!

More Adventures in the Life of Nick! US OPEN 2008!

Once again Nick gets another experience of a lifetime, Tickets to the U.S. Open in San Diego California! Nick flew out to SD last Friday with one of his BF'S Nate Parry to attend the 2008 U.S Open on Saturday and Sunday. He got to watch the man below, Tiger Woods, and many others like Phil Mickelson, Sergio Garica, Ernie Els.... Battle it out on the golf course! Unfortunately for us they don't allow cell phones or camera's at the open so these are best pictures I could find to give you a taste of what he experienced, especially if you didn't watch it on TV.

The tournament was held at Torrey Pines on their south golf course. Nick said it was unbelievable how many people were there. He said when Tiger made his putt for birdie on 18 to take it to a play off the cheering was louder than any time he's ever been at the Energy Solutions Arena for a Jazz Game or for any sporting event he's been to for that matter. He also was shocked at how quite they could all be when a player was teeing off!

Seeing Tiger play in real life was unreal. He is not one to get star struck at all but he said when he saw Tiger for the first time he got butterflies in his stomach. He was watching the greatest golfer alive play right before his eyes. It was fun hearing him talk about this experience. I made him promise to take me to the U.S. Open at Pebble Beach in two years or maybe Beth Page Black in NY next year. Either way I'm there and my eyes will be on Adam Scott ! Although he's an Aussie he sure is nice on the eyes and that accent is a killer!

Back In The Day's of 89'

So my dad sent an email to me the other day titled The Beginning of Coolness with this picture enclosed. This is my little sister Shea, she is 5 years old and is wearing my dads aviator sunglasses and of course is posing for the camera. She is currently living in Hollywood, CA (how fitting) and yes, still wears the aviator glasses she dubbed back in 89'.

These next pictures followed in another e-mail a few days later.
Of Course I wanted to be cool too! So here are my pictures from the same day. I am 10 years old. Funny thing, I totally remember those shorts and they actually have dinosaurs on them and I loved them! Forget the glasses I think the shorts are hot!

If any of you were wondering where this photo shoot took place it is at the infamous Sherwood Hills Golf Course. This picture includes my old friend Angela Croft, Me, Shea, and then my other little sister Jade. Jade definitely takes the one piece to a whole other level!

Vegetable and Herb Garden!

What is this you say? Well, this is my lovely vegetable and herb garden! Isn't it amazing??? OK so it isn't really that great. I have been so busy this past month and well with all the rainy weather I haven't been able to plant my garden. This past weekend I was able to scrounge up some tomato, cucumber, squash, lettuce, basil, rosemary and zucchini plants. It was no easy feat either. I had to go to three different stores to find it all. Hopefully I can get them planted this weekend and find the last few herbs and veggies I want.  I was going to grow pumpkins again because it's so fun to watch them grow, but man they sure take up a lot of space ! Anyway enough about my garden! Happy Planting and I'm sure I'll have more Veggie Tales in the coming months.
