The Craziest Golf Tournament Around!!!

Nick and I were on different teams but in the same group. Each group consists of 5 teams totaling 25 players. Everyone is guaranteed 3 holes and after the first 3 one team is eliminated. It was so fun! My team eliminated Nick's on the 3rd hole in a chip off! He was really bummed because last year his team almost one the entire thing and this year he was out in the first round! Needless to say we still had a blast driving around and watching everyone else play!

This is the second to last hole of the tournament. The carts completely surround the green it's crazy to see.
As you can see the fairway is trickled with golf carts as everyone speeds to see the next shot! We all have so much fun! I can't wait for next year! 

Zeus Has Surgery

My poor little guy got neutered today. His little eyes are so droopy and now he's going to be a cone head for 10 days.

Zeus had something called Cryptorchid which means one of his testicles didn't drop down and out of his abdomen.  Often times if the testicle isn't found it can become cancerous and cause problems in the future. So instead of just one little incision he got 2. The picture below is of the big abdominal incision they had to make. Yeouch! The Vet said they were lucky and found his lost testicle just in front of his bladder so it was easily removed.
I was a little surprised when I saw this suture job (sorry so blurry) because is was so jagged.  They then told me that tomorrow he will be running and jumping like nothing has happened so they have to really suture the abdomen to keep him from popping a stitch.
Leyla can tell he doesn't feel good and is just laying by his side. 

Mailboxes

So this used to be our mailbox.  One day I was outside working in the front yard when the mail man came by.  As he handed me our mail he told me how he hated our mailbox and it was always a pain to fit all the mail we get into it.  Of course with Nick we get ESPN the mag, Snowboarder mag, Transworld, SI... I get Martha Stewart, Net Flicks.. So yes we have a lot of larger mail.

I also didn't like our mailbox and agreed with the mailman. We also needed our street address to be more visible so I bought this nice new mailbox.
The funny part of this story is that just after Nick and I finished hanging it we were sitting in our living room watching college football when the mailman came by.  Once he saw the mailbox we heard him say "OH YES!" and then as he walked by our front window he was shaking his head back and forth like he couldn't believe we had changed it and he had the biggest grin on his face.  I was so excited that he was so excited, it just reminds you to appreciate the small things in life.

Troublemakers!!!

These two always have to be where ever we are. Here Nick and I were making dinner, sure enough we kept tripping over them. You walk to the bedroom... sure enough one is following right behind they don't want to miss out on a thing. 
Zeus thought he'd help me fold the laundry. Little stinker...

Who fed my veggies steroids???

So i didn't see this Zucchini until well you couldn't miss it. The cucumbers and squash I just didn't pick and they went wild.

My mom had surgery this past Tuesday and everything went well.  Thank you for all of the beautiful flowers, plants, food and phone calls they all helped make the week a lot easier. We are all so grateful for all of the love and support.
